Yoga for Women Over 40
“I don’t believe in age, I believe in energy.
Don’t let age dictate what you can and cannot do.”
Tao Porchon-Lynch, 101 years young, yoga teacher.
Tao Porchon-Lynch (August 13, 1918 – February 21, 2020) was an American yoga master, actor, competitive dancer (Ballroom tango), and award-winning author. Tao embodied the spirit of yoga and she taught us to let go and live in exquisite awareness of every moment. At 101, she was still teaching a weekly yoga class in New York, dancing with partners decades younger, and leading programs worldwide. She wrote two books, including her autobiography, Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master. Tao lived fully until she was 102. Imagine what's possible for you!
Imagine what's possible for you!
Strength that lasts: build the muscle, balance, and bone-supporting power that carries you through the next 40 years (and up all those subway stairs)
Flexibility that returns: ease stiff hips, shoulders, and spine with practices tailored to your body, not a crowded studio
A heart that opens: make space for grief, joy, and everything in between
A mind that expands: move beyond old stories about what you can or can't do, write new ones
Our classes are:
Fun and deep: slow and mindful one day, playful and surprising the next
Completely personal: every session is built around you, your goals, your health, and your season of life
Brooklyn-based, Brooklyn-real: a calm, private space in the middle of the city's energy
Step across your golden threshold. Book your first private session in Brooklyn today.
